Patricia A. Mallow, 78 of Sun City, Huntley, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 following a short illness.
She was born December 28, 1939 in Chicago, the daughter of Jack and Mary (Haas) Engelman. She was raised and educated in Chicago, graduating from Steinmetz High School. She was united in marriage to Ronald L. Mallow on September 14, 1963. The couple made their home in Chicago for a time and then raised their family in Carpentersville. They later moved to Algonquin and in 2007 to Sun City, Huntley. Patricia worked for Ace Hardware for many years managing hardware store in Hanover Park, Crystal Lake, Lake In The Hills and Carpentersville. She enjoyed scrapbooking, card making, puzzles, enjoyed tap dancing with the Huntley Hoofers, gardening and flowers.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Mallow of Huntley, her son, Darrol (April) Mallow of Carpentersville, her grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle (Taryn), Kurtis (Stephanie), Kevin and Jakob, her great-grandchildren, Marley, Brandon, Ava, Evan, Leah, Jaxson, Cheyenne and Emma. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. Memorial Service on Friday, June 8th at Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church, 10805 Main Street, Huntley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church.
