Obituary

James W. Verden, Jr, Age 53, of Marengo, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2017 at his home.
He was born on December 20, 1964, the son of James and Sandra (Nee Farbisz) Verden. Jimmy V. had a passion for writing and could beautifully build his words into works of art. Starting at the age of 8 he began a life -long passion for comic books. He also had a tremendous love for music. 80’s rock was his favorite. Jimmy V. was often quick to share his vast knowledge of his favorite artists and songs. He held an impressive collection of over 18,000 comic books and enjoyed sharing his passions with those he loved. He was an amazing man with many unique and special qualities, he will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Jimmy V. is survived by his loving mother, Sandra Verden; Siblings; Susan Schulze and Kimberly Rentner; nieces and nephews, Heather and Brandon Schulze, Georgia and Layla Rentner; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father; nephew, Cameron Rentner; Grandparents, Robert( Agnes) Verden, Thaddeus(Leona) Farbisz
Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 8:00pm on Tuesday July 17 , 2018 at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley, IL 60142. An additional visitation will be held from 1:00pmuntil the time of funeral mass at 2:00pm on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church,10307 Dundee Road, Huntley, IL 60142.Interment will be private.
