Mary B. Lattanzio, 76 of Huntley, IL died peacefully, August 6, 2018.
Mary was born July 20, 1942 in Chicago, the daughter of James and Marie Matak. On April 11, 1964 she married Phillip Lattanzio. During her career as a banker she always wanted to help her family, friends and customers. She retired as Vice President of First Security Trust and Savings Bank, Elmwood Park, in 2014 after 51 years of service. She was past president of the Elmwood Park Chamber of Commerce. Mary and her husband enjoyed playing the slots both at the boat in Elgin and in Las Vegas. She was also a Cubs fan and enjoyed watching the games with her husband. She had an amazing spirit for life and a caring trait for people. Mary was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her sons, Phillip J. (Tracy) Lattanzio and Michael J. (Kristin) Lattanzio and by her grandchildren, Danielle, Michael, Joey; and sister Pat Toniolo. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Phillip.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 12-4pm with a service at 4pm all at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley, IL. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.

I was a classmate of Mary's at Maternity BVM grammar school in Chicago. I remember her as a vibrant, always smiling, always happy young lady. She will be missed! May she rest in peace...bob (I have forwarded this information to all other classmates of Mary's at BVM)
