My heart is hurting because I will miss my one of a kind awesome friend forever. It has been a blessing to have been a part of her life. Seldom is one given a gift like Velma Liddle, an angel on earth and now a saint in Heaven. Larry, I pray that you and your children, Eric, Alyssa & Allison will be comforted by the love of Jesus and countless friends to fill the empty spaces in your grieving hearts. You were an incredible husband and caregiver. Because of your love for her, she had as much as you could give her to keep her comfortable and well for as long as you could. She knew you loved her. She was so happy to have met her sweet grandchildren. I believe memories of their special times with their "Mimi" will remain in their hearts forever. I am so sorry. I would have loved one more hug.

As I read the other condolences I now understand why I already loved her but only knew her for a year as we are Larry and Velma's new neighbors. I sincerely wish I could have spent more time with her. I so much enjoyed our telephone conversations. We are so sorry for your loss and I know Velma will be looking down on all of her family. We will miss you!

My heart is heavy with the passing of your wonderful, beautiful, wife, mom, gramma... she was a wonderful person who embraced all, gave me courage when I took the role of recruiting volunteers... her words of wisdom have guided me "be yourself, your love of our residents will shine through!" My thoughts and prayers are with all of you!
