Harriet J. Aurelius, 85 of Huntley, died peacefully, November 11, 2018.
Visitation will be on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 9:00-10:00am with a funeral Mass at 10:00am all at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Lymphoma and Leukemia Society.
Harriet was born September 3, 1933 in Belarus, the daughter of Joseph and Josephine Matros. She worked for Bell and Howell and later for Carsons. She was an avid golfer and very active member of St. Mary Catholic Church, including prayer shawl ministry, St. Mary Woman’s Club and many other actives. Harriet was also a member of the Sun City Polish Club. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a dear friend to many. Her kindness, her great faith and loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her Son, John (Denise) Jackowski, daughter, Diane (Michael) Johansen, grandchildren, Jennifer and Joseph and by her step son, Robert Aurelius and brother, Frank Uroda. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Aurelius.
