Margaret M. Schroeder, 91 of Huntley, died peacefully on her birthday with her family by her side.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 4-7pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00am on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be in Mt. Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Margaret was born November 18, 1927 in Chicago, the daughter of Charles and Margaret McGuire. On May 27, 1950 she married Richard Schroeder. She worked for Illinois Bell as a long distance telephone operator. She had a great sense of humor and was always looking out for others. Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her siblings, Marilyn Weiss, Robert W. (Lois) McGuire and Rita (Wayne) Waltrip and by many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, sons, Richard, Jr., and Barry Schroeder, brothers, Charles, John “Jack McGuire and brother in-law, Gerald Weiss
