Carol J. Stanchina, 76 of Huntley, died peacefully, December 13, 2018 at her home with her family by her side.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. Visitation will also be at the Funeral Home on Monday from 9:00am until the funeral Mass at 10:00am Monday, December 17, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be in Dundee Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Carol was born July 19, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Edward and Florence Koath. On July 3, 1960 she married Louis W. Stanchina. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed baking, cooking sewing, and knotting. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Louis Stanchina, her children, Robert (Dawn) Stanchina, Kimberly Stanchina, Scott (Shirlee) Stanchina and Michael Stanchina. By her 5 grandchildren, Madison, Cole, Ryan, Christopher and Aimee and great grandchildren, Casey and Scarlet. She is also survived by her siblings, Jeanne (Pete) Feyen, Janet Koath, Diane (John) Wysocki and James Koath.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother, Gerald Koath.
