I knew John through his friend and fellow Mason Doug Hofbauer. We spent many Friday nights at our favorite neighborhood watering hole solving the world's problems over a few beers:) John was kind enough to invite myself and a few friends to the annual Mason's golf outing. It was always a great time. He was a great guy and I was glad to have known him. May he rest in peace. A donation to Schreiners Hospital has been made in his memory.

My prayers are with John's family. I know he adored them, he'd always talk proudly about them when we'd see each other at the Scottish Rite Golf outings and other Masonic events. He was truly a Mason's mason. John, May you rest in the glory of Heaven with our Almighty God.

My sincere condolences to his family. He was a great Mason and a good friend. He will be sorely missed. "Soft and safe be the earthly bed of our brother; bright and glorious be his rising from it. While our eyes may be dim with tears as we think of our departed brother, we may in the sincerity of our hearts, accord to his memory the commendation of having lived a useful and exemplary life and as a just and upright Mason."
