Fernando C. Salvacion, 84 of Huntley, died peacefully, July 31, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.
Visitation will be on Sunday, August 4, 2019 from 5-8pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, 10:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley.
Fernando was born November 23, 1934 in the Philippines. He worked as an Accountant until his retirement. He married Betty Fineza on May 22, 1963. He was an avid golfer, he enjoyed playing mahjong and bridge and was a member of St. Mary Church.
He is survived by his wife, Betty, his children, Ferdinand (Laurie) Salvacion, and Genevieve Joy (Michael) Mergle and by his grandchildren, Katie (Zach) Verde, Jonathan (Alanna) Salvacion and Sabrina (Aaron) Moore, and great granddaughter, Korynn Elouise Salvacion. He is also survived by his siblings, Remigo, Alice ,Marietta and Imelda. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his sisters.

Betty, I met Fernando when I first moved here, and I know the past two years have been difficult. I am saddened to know he is gone. May you know compassion and love to help you get through this grieving process.
