Dean Martin Buganski

Obituary

Dean Martin Buganski age 41, passed away at his home September 30, 2019. He was born September 26, 1978 in Elk Grove Village, IL to his proud parents Martin & Gail (Walsh) Buganski. Balls to the wall is how Dean lived his life! He was a very cute baby, a kid at heart, with the brightest blue eyes. From a young age Dean was happiest being outdoors building treehouses, running away to the creek, and surprising his mom with bottle rockets while she gardened. Surprisingly he is a wooden spoon survivor! Dean was his parents pride and joy making them proud every day. Always more than willing to show kids all the ways to have fun. A devoted, proud, loving uncle to all who considered him Uncle Dean. An avid thrill seeker with his closest friends who were the brothers he never had. Dean was always the first to help someone with anything they needed, he had an ability to fix everything and do it the correct way. A devoted hard worker to everything he did with a meticulously organized toolbox to match. Everyone will miss Dean’s ability to light up a room, make everyone laugh with his jokes, his unique sense of humor, and his many Deanism’s. Dean loved his mushrooms, cheese, shrimp, hibachi, and his favorite drink jack and coke with a lime. His hobbies included: fishing, guns, snow mobiling, 4-wheeling, jet skiing, and cleaning. Dean had a heart for animals, except squirrels and cats! He was proud to be an American. Do as Dean would do, ride it like you stole it!
Dean is survived by his loving parents, Martin and Gail Buganski , by his devoted sisters Brenda (Matt) Sullivan, Colleen Buganski, and Kelsey (Rob) Smith. His beloved nieces and nephews: Erik Sullivan, Darren Sullivan, Madelyn Sullivan, Wrigley Smith, and Lincoln Smith. Loving grandparents Thomas and Mary Jane Walsh. Caring aunts and uncles: Glen & Cathy Walsh, Ken & Eleanor Gilski. Many fun cousins and his closest of friends who were like family. He was preceded in death by the late Mitchell & Loretta Buganski.
Please join us in celebrating Dean’s life at DeFiore Funeral Home 10763 Dundee Road Huntley, IL. Visitation on Friday October 4th from 4-8pm and Saturday October 5th 10-11am followed with a celebration of life ceremony at 11am on Saturday, October 5th. Internment will follow at Huntley Cemetery.

I only knew Dean for a short time while I worked at Anderson with him, but in that time he became one of my best friends. Dean was full of life, the obituary nailed it saying he lived his life balls to the walls. He never let a moment be dull. Dean, you'll be missed. You will all be in my thoughts, and I hope to make it to the services.

I was lucky enough to meet Dean through my son-in-law and daughter. Although I didn't get to see him often, when I did, he was always friendly, funny and fun. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him. My sympathies to Dean's family and friends.

I worked with Dean for several years at Anderson. We had many lively political discussions as he was so Republican and I am so Democratic. He is one of the few people I have missed since I retired. I was saddened and sorry to hear of his death. He will be greatly missed.

So sorry to hear about Deaner....It had been a few years since i have seen him, but I knew him since he was about 15. My old roommate (Jay Lattanzio) put an electrical system in his Nova (I think?), and he worked part of it off by mowing our lawn all summer... maybe 2 summers. So he would always stop by and BS.. Then when he turned 21, I would run into him at all the bars in the area. Great guy. We would take turns cracking each other up or telling our favorite stories about Jay. He will definitely be missed.

Dean was always fun to have a friendly debate with. While he wasn't my right-across-the-street neighbor, he was only couple of houses away. He always had an extra minute to chat and give the dogs a pet when I would walk them over to say hi. Always gave me grief about having Rotties and not Danes. I am so sorry for the family's loss. He will be missed.

There are no words for this untimely passing of a guy so full of life, we will never understand it. My deepest condolences to the entire Buganski family, our hearts ache for you and our prayers are plentiful. May each and every one of you live a life that honors Deans memory and the awesome person he was. He is your forever angel????

Trent Greenawalt 2019-10-03 16:53:03

Dean was a genuine guy, intelligent, extremely organized, but his best quality was his sense of humor. There was never a time that you talked to Dean where he didn't put a smile on your face. Always his story topped yours, or he would turn your story into a comic strip. Our work won't be the same without his energy and work ethic second to none to get the job done. He even stepped out of his comfort zone and worked on some projects for me, just last week staying late on a Friday night to get something done he had no history of before. Very dedicated, and a great person. RIP my brother man... Deano you will be missed.

Dean was one of a kind. He and my boys John and Scott grew up together. They would love to pick on their sisters. Carrie Spears and Kelsey Buganski had to always be on the lookout. Dean was being Dean one day when we were helping them move out of the rental house to the home they built. He was giving Uncle John the business so he hung him up on a nail in the garage by his belt loop cowboy boots and all. Grandpa Walsh was walking by and Dean asked him to get him down. Grandpa asked who put you up there? Dean replied Uncle John. Grandpa said well then I’m not getting you down I’m sure Uncle John did it for a good reason! I wish i could be there to give you all hugs and kisses. Gail we went thru our pregnancy together with Johnny and Dean and I will be here to help you get thru this together. My loving extended family my deepest sympathy. Love Auntie Lisa

Dean spent a lot of time at our house through the years. He was a good friend to our son Jason. He always made us laugh. We loved him too. He left us way too soon. He will be greatly missed. Sincere sympathy to his family
