Kenneth T. Cooper, 80 of Huntley, died peacefully, November 16, 2019
Ken was a loving quiet man with an incredibly witty sense of humor that endeared him to all that knew him. He spent his career as an estimator engineer and was able to enjoy an early retirement. As a woodchuck, he was passionate about woodworking and was also fascinated with all technical gadgets. He was an active member of St Mary’s Church and of the Sun City Community. Being a life long Cubs fan he was ecstatic to be able to watch them win a World Series!

Ken was born February 7, 1939 the son of Robert and Florence Cooper. He married the love of his life Sandra Gitzke and the couple has been married for 60 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, His giving spirt will live on and he will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his wife, Sandy, his daughters, Terri (Steve) Gervasi, Lori (Paul) Caccippio, Traci (Chuck) Connors, by his 8 grandchildren, Nick, Renee, Kristi, Kevin, Charlie, Tom, Jennifer and Robert, by his 3 great grandchildren, Jackson, Wesley and Owen. He is also survived by his sisters, Dorothy (Brian) Halpin and Pat (Bob) Jacobson. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 9:00am until the 10:00am followed by Mass all at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Inurnment will be at St. Mary Cemetery.

Yes My very deepest sympathy to you and your family. Ken was a kind and gentle man loved by all who new him. Ken was the best neighbor, always willing to help when in need. Sandy, I will always cherish the good times we spent with you and Ken. I’m thankful I got to see Ken when I came home in April. Love ya, Doris
