Cheryl A. Nagy, 70, of Huntley, died peacefully on April 27, 2024, in McHenry.
Cheryl was born in East Chicago, Indiana on December 14, 1953, to parents Norbert and Dolores (nee Kubacki) Nagy. She grew up with her sisters and graduated from East Chicago Washington High School. She was introduced to Michael Hamer by mutual friend and the couple were married on November 16, 1989. Cheryl was a self-taught gardener and an avid reader. She spent countless hours in her garden and read many books. She was a loving wife and sister, and dear friend to many.
Cheryl is survived by her beloved husband of 34 years, Michael Hamer, and her sisters, Charlotte Nagy, and Rita Mika. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Burnett and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her sister, Patrica Janik.
