Obituary

Jacquelyn R. Gauger, 68 of Huntley, passed away on Monday morning, August 1, 2011 at Sherman Hospital.
Jacquelyn was born February 28, 1943 in Chicago, the daughter of Esther Vaupel and Oran Anthony. She worked as a supervisor of claims for Washington National Insurance and All State Insurance for many years. She was united in marriage to Kenneth W. Gauger on September 9, 1989. After the death of her husband Ken, she moved to Huntley’s, Sun City. Jacquelyn was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Theatre Company of Sun City, Singers, Bunco Beauties, knitting club, endless card game groups in Sun City. She was a fantastic cook, artist and painter, enjoyed playing the organ and loved to travel with her husband, family and friends.
She is survived by her many cousins, nieces and nephews and was preceded in death by her parents, in-law’s Ruth and Walter Gauger, dear friends and husband, Ken.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 until 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 4th at DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines.

Though I didn't know Aunt Jackie I was very saddened to hear of her passing. May she finally find peace on the other side.
