Bernard M. McGinley, 78 of Algonquin, died peacefully, February 27, 2018
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4-7pm at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00am on Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
Bernard was born July 24, 1939 in Chicago, the son of Robert and Lucille McGinley. On September 18, 1959 he married Julia A. Nicolini. Bernie worked as a route salesman and later for the Department of Motor Vehicles. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Julia, his children,Gina (Lew) Sevey, Marty (Katie) McGinley, Steve (Dawn) McGinley and David (Christina) McGinley and by his 10 grandchildren, Meghan, Kelsey, Rachael, Jenna, Courtney, Chad, Francesca, Hannah, Brian and Mary and also by his 3 great grandchildren, Kenzie, Judah and Harper. He is also survived by his brother, Robert McGinley and sister-in-law, Dina Nicolini. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister, Delores.
