Linda J. Monaghan, 61, of Lake In The Hills, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Presence Saint Joseph Hospital in Elgin following a brief illness.
She was born July 2, 1956 in Chicago, the daughter of Richard and Constance (Falk) Sandine. She was raised and educated in Rolling Meadows, graduating from Rolling Meadows High School. She worked as an accountant for Unocal Corporation for a number of years. On September 7, 1991 she was united in marriage to Patrick B. Monaghan. The couple made their home in Lake In The Hills where they raised their family and she continued to work in the accounting field. Linda enjoyed gardening, traveling, reading and playing board games.
She is survived by her husband, Patrick of Lake In The Hills, her children, Valerie (Kit) Jacobs of Clermont, Florida, Sean Monaghan and Sarah Monaghan both of Lake In The Hills, her grandchildren, Keegan and Kenzie, her brothers, Richard Sandine of McHenry and Eric (Lorene) Sandine of Hoffman Estates, also many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Karen and her daughter, Rachael.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 27th at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley and at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1033 McHenry Avenue, Crystal Lake on Saturday, April 28th from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pioneer Center for Human Services, McHenry or TLC Pregnancy Services, Elgin.
