Obituary

William C. Heinrich, 88, of rural Hampshire, passed away at Tower Hill Healthcare Center in South Elgin on Friday, April 27, 2018.

He was born in Bensenville, Illinois the son of William and Emma (Moeller) Heinrich, Sr. He grew up on the farm and in 1952 was united in marriage to Phyllis J. Hudson. The couple made their home on the farm in Bensenville where he also worked as a carpenter in the home building industry and served as a captain for the Bensenville Volunteer Fire Department for a number of years. They later moved to rural Hampshire. He most enjoyed time with his family, Farmall tractors, his asparagus field, and playing and coaching softball.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis, son, Steve (Christine) Heinrich, his daughter-in-laws, Nadine Heinrich and Kathy Heinrich, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, his brother, LeRoy (Corinne Hardt) Heinrich, his sister-in-law, Dolores Heinrich, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bud and Elaine Hudson, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sons, Jim and Gary Heinrich, four brothers, Christian, Elmer, Edward, and Martin, and five sisters, Mamie, Helen, Ella, Lorraine, and Elaine.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1st at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley and on Wednesday, May 2nd from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 11821 E. Grant Hwy, Hampshire. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church or the charity of your choice.
