Joseph P. McEnery, 79, of Huntley, died peacefully, May 3, 2018 with his family by his side.
Visitation will be on Sunday, May 6, 2018, from 3-7pm at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home -10763 Dundee Rd, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00am on Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be in Huntley Cemetery.
Joe was born September 22, 1938 the son of Timothy and Anne McEnery. He served in the United States Army. On September 9, 1967 he married Margaret L. “Peg” Devine. He worked as a chief engineer until his retirement. Joe was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid Chicago White Sox fan, he enjoyed, fixing things, and gardening. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Peg, his children, Maureen McEnery, Meg (Brian) Schnoor and Joe (TeriSue) McEnery; by his grandchildren, Ryan, Bretton, Conor, Katie Anne, Collette, Joey, and Tara Rose and also by many nieces and nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Tim and Pete and by his sister-in-law, Carol.
