Julian J. Rozner, age 90 of Lake in the Hills, passed away peacefully, August 27, 2018.
Julian was born May 20, 1928 in Stołpce (Nowogródek Voivodeship) Poland, father Maksymilian Robert Rozner and mother Marianna Wotynska . After facing early struggles, specifically zbrodnia Katyńska, he moved to Uganda, Africa where he lived for 16 years with his mother Maria, brother Richard and sister Krystyna. He also spent time in London and New Jersey before eventually settling in Chicago. On September 1, 1966 he married Helena T. Dabrowski. Julian was a proud American citizen and enjoyed many hobbies such as following the Chicago Blackhawks, music and cars. While Julian was a stoic man he loved deeply and held a special place in his heart for his grandchildren. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Julian is survived by his children, Jerry Rozner, Krystyna Rozner-Kamka, Bonnie Rozner-Gabriel, and Yvonne Rozner-Schumert, by his grandchildren, Jacob, Ethan, Brandon, Devon, Cassandra, Cameron, and Rachel and Valerie, great grandchildren, Madelynn.
Visitation will be on Saturday September 8, 2018 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntly, IL with a service at 2:00pm. Interment will be private.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helena.
