Denise M. Staley-Gamble

Obituary

Denise M. Staley-Gamble, ‘Deni’, age 61, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018, in Huntley, Illinois. Deni is survived by her son, Juri Staley-Gamble of Huntley, Illinois; her daughter, Meaghan (Staley-Gamble) Yeates, of Charelston, South Carolina and her granddaughters, Sayge and Skya Yeates; her former spouse, Jack Gamble; her sister, Deborah (Donald) Matthiesen, of Geneva, Illinois; her brothers, Michael Staley, of Batavia, Illinois, and Thomas Staley of Aurora, Illinois; her nephew Michael Staley, Jr. of Rockford, Illinois; Scott, Wayne and Jim Morton-Staley of Tacoma, Washinton; Tim (Jennifer) Mattheisen of St. Charles, Missouri; and Jessica Matthiesen of North Chicago, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen (McAloon) Staley, formerly of Lakeview, Arkansas; her brother James T. Staley, Jr. of Tacoma, Washington.

Deni was born on June 7, 1957 in Chicago, Illinois at Westlake Hospital. She graduated from Schaumburg High School is 1974. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and a caring, wonderful person. Deni had a deep soul who could listen and relate to people. She could lighten up anyone on a gloomy day with her smile and happy-go-lucky attitude.

She was married to Jack Gamble in 1985 for 25 years and the couple had two children together. Deni was a kind, generous woman who volunteered to help with school and sports activities of her children during their school years. For more than 20 years she assisted with the administration of Jack’s chiropractic clinic while raising their children. Deni was a member of Journey Church in Huntley and volunteered in the nursery. She also had a huge heart for animals—there wasn’t a stray cat she could turn away! She delighted in the company of her furry friends, including the companionship of Commodus, her Shetland sheepdog.

Deni’s interests were many—she enjoyed music, movies, concerts, and time at their condo in Lake Geneva. Deni had these amazing hazel eyes and beautiful, thick brown hair (to the envy of many). Her family and friends will always remember her as a kind, generous, outgoing, artistic, fun-loving person who enjoyed spending time gardening and, of course, tanning. She loved nature and the outdoors!

Burial will be private. A celebration of life memorial will be scheduled for Deni at a later date. Cards and letters can be sent to Meaghan (Staley-Gamble) Yeates at 1452 Milldam Pass, John’s Island, SC 29455.

I'm so very sorry for her death and the pain it had caused the whole Family, but pleade know that God thru His Son, Jesus Christ will remember her by resurrecting her back to life again and those words can be found in John 5:28,29 to where we find Jesus Christ giving us that Guarrantee, that he will do that. Yet there is another Guarrantee in the Bible which helps us to know where she will live, once she is brought back and that can be found in Psalm 37:29 which says:The righteous will possess the earth and they will live forever on it. So may these words bring all of you some comfort in knowing that God will wipe away our tears and replace them with a joyful heart, in welcoming them all back into our arms to hold and to cherish, forever.

I didn't know that Denise had passed. I remember competing with her at basketball at Schaumburg High School. She was tall, lanky and had this beautiful long dark hair. She looked like a Goddess, so beautiful. Gone too soon! How Sad, Tina
