Bessie “Cookie” Gramza, 70 of Huntley, died peacefully, December 27, 2018
Visitation will be held Friday, January 4, 2019 from 3:00 to 7:00pm with a service at 7pm all at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family of Bessie S. Gramza.
Bessie was born July 31, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of William and Theresa Karmeris. On July 29, 1972 she married Walter “Jr.” Gramza. Bessie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her. She enjoyed raising her daughters, and spoiling her granddaughters and spending time with family. Bessie was very fond of the holidays.
She is survived by her husband, Walter, her daughters, Roxanne Gramza, Nicole (Michael) Guarino and Michelle (Tom) Mihalopoulos, her grandchildren, Mia, Addison, and Kennedy, by one brother, William Karmeris and brother-in-law, Anthony Volpe and also by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Rosemary and brothers, Gus and Junior.
