Hubert A. Adams, 86 of Huntley, loving husband of Rose Marie, nee Montalto/Ginocchio and the lateElizabethnee Tholl entered into eternal peace on September 6th. Hub was a devoted father to Michael (late Linda), Peter (Sarah), Kathryn (R. Stuart Edwards), Ann (Mark Mlinar), and Nancy (Jeff Braddock), dear step-father to Joan (Peter) Snisko, Carol Bowe, Susan (Harold) Davis, Diane Ledet, Donald (Nina) Ginocchio, Linda (Bill) Christie, Robert (Michele) Ginocchio, andCharles Ginocchio, cherished grandfather to Katherine, Levi, Nell, Sally, Eva, Gregory (Ilana), Jennifer (Ryan), Brooke and Andrew.
For 47 years of his life, Hub was a successful trust attorney at Chicago Trust and member of the Chicago Bar Association, retiring in 2000. Raised on a humble farm inManson,Iowa, Hubproudly served his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII.After the military, he returned home and caught a train to the University of Notre Dame inSouth Bend,IN, walked into the Admissions Office and told them he wanted to study there.He graduated with a degree in Commerce in 1949. While working and raising a family with his late wife Betty, he attended night school earning a Juris Doctor degree fromDePaulUniversity.He enjoyed telling a good story, reading, playing tennis, watching Westerns, and playing bridge. Hub was an avid Sox and Notre Dame fan. Guided by an abiding faith, Hub was a member of St. Mary Parish and St. Vincent DePaul Society. He was a kind and gentle man who will be remembered with love for his family and missed by many.
Visitation Sunday, September 9, 2012 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. atDeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral Home,10763 Dundee Road, Huntley and Monday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church of Huntley,10307 Dundee Road, Huntley.
