Ardis “Jean” Libby, 85 of Huntley, died peacefully on April 20, 2019 at her home with her family by her side.
A visitation will be on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Huntley Animal House Shelter.
Jean was born August 30, 1933 the daughter of Frank and Ruby Wilson. On November 3, 1963 she married Don Libby. She and her husband ran the family business. She was a devoted, wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Ed Libby (Denise), Sue (Chris) Bona, five grandchildren, Taylor, Alexis, Brittney, Avery, Edan and one great grandson, Hudson. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Don Libby and her grandson, Aaron Libby.

Barb and I express our sympathy at your loss. The Libby name has been part of the Lake Geneva Beach Association for about 80 years. Your dad Don was the first BA kid on the Safety Patrol which in turn led to scores of future Patrollers. Jean and Don together set a great example during the summers at the lake.
