Rolando C. Dawis, 77 of Chicago, died peacefully, June 30, 2019 with his family by his side.
Visitation will be on Monday, July 8, 2019 from 4-8pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 10:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley.
Rolando was born June 23, 1942 in the Philippines; the son of Mariano and Lillian Dawis. In 1969 he married Lerio Rufo. Rolando worked for the United States Post Office for 45 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by is wife, Lerio, his children, Maria (Ray) Abordo, Claudette (Andrew) Povah and Ronalde (Joy) Dawis, his grandchildren, Caitland, Alex, Isabella, Tristan and Kimberly and also by many brothers and sisters.
