Yuring “Al” Aquino, 53 of Huntley, passed away peacefully December 24, 2019 in his home with his family by his side.
Al was born May 8, 1966 in Guatemala. The son of Isabel and Juan Aquino.
Al started his career in die casting in the maintenance department at only 18 years old. He was dedicated to it, working long hours over 35 years that ultimately lead him to becoming VP of Manufacturing.
He was an animal lover, avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed classic cars, Was an Alabama football fan as well as a Kentucky Wildcats fan.
His greatest joy in life was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, son and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Valerie who he was married to for 22 years, his four children Jason, Madison, Payton & Brielle by his mother Isabel, his sisters Veronica Aquino, Maria (Andre) Zayas, his brother Walter Aquino and his lifelong friend Kayla Connelly. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Juan.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 30, 2019 from 4-8pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 10:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. My heart goes out to you. I met Al when he was at Tek-Cast. The smile on his face when he spoke of his wife and children displayed the great love for you all. What a kind man. May you feel Gods presence as he walks with you in your grief.

My deepest sympathy at this difficult time to you Valerie daughters and son. I remember playing with Alfredo when we were children back in Guatemala. I have pictures of all of us. It is not easy to accept that Alfredo is gone, he is not suffering anymore God will give all of you strength to continue, keeping his memories alive will get you through. He will be always with you all. Take time to grieve and take care.
I met Al nearly 30 years ago, a nicer, kinder man, I have never known. He loved his wife and daughters dearly, if only we could all live by Al's example.
So very sorry for your lost. I was an associate of Al in the for casting industry. I was a Process Engineer for Al at Tek-Cast and DynaCast Elgin. I considered Al as a friend and impression. Please accept my condolences. He was a good man and a joy to have known. God Bless.
