Joan E. Stryszyk, 82 of Lake in the Hills, died peacefully, December 26, 2019
Visitation will be on Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 12-2pm with a short service being held at 2:00pm all at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
Joan was born April 20, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Harry and Maggie Lameka. Joan had an extensive panda collection and loved all things panda. She enjoyed flowers, her dogs and doing word search puzzles. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Robert Stryszyk, and Dianne (Bill) Genader and her adopted daughter, Lora Officer, by her grandchildren, Danielle, Michael and Brandon and great grandchildren, Lainey, Dylan and Abby. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Joan you will be missed dearly, I have so many memories of you as my supervisor at Milton and being my friend outside of work. Will alway remember you on the 4th of July watching the parade in Elmwood Pk. And you making the Boom Boom Boom of the marching bands. You were a wonderful person and now at rest. Bobby and Diane so sorry for your loss and to Danelle I no your grandma loved you dearly. ????
