Michael J. Ball, 56, of Huntley, died peacefully, January 14, 2020 at his home.
Visitation will be on Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM with a service at 6pm all at DeFiore Funeral Home- 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
Michael J. Ball was born May 29, 1963 in Peoria, Illinois the son of Dale and Wanda Ball. At the age of 16 he earned his driver’s license, motorcycle license along with his pilot’s license, an achievement he was proud of. He graduated from University of Illinois- Champaign with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He was a CPA. On May 24, 2003 he married Elizabeth Guerra. He was a devoted, husband, father and friend to all who knew him. He had a great passion for autocross racing, a sport he enjoyed with his wife, Elizabeth. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing and the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ball, his children, Justin Guerra and Jeffrey Ball, by his father, Dale Ball, brothers, Mark and John Ball father and mother-in-law, Julio and Susana Guerra.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda.

I am deeply saddened to hear about the loss of MIKE, I know he was a good husband and a good father to Jeffrey. I worked with Mike for probably 30 years and he taught me so much. Mike had patients, knowledge, and dedicated his life to his work. I will cherish many memories of him and will miss him.
