Obituary

Linda Neal, 77 of Gilberts, died peacefully, February 21, 2020.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 23, 2020 from 12 Noon until 4-pm with a time of sharing being held at 3:30pm all at DeFiore Funeral Home -10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Brookfield Zoo

Linda was born November 13, 1942 the daughter of Walter and Nadja Bodel. On May 28, 1966 she married Orvil “K” Neal. She did child care for many years and was a “Mom” to many children throughout her life. She was an avid Cub fan and liked to visit the casino. Her greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Orvil “K” Neal, her daughters, Kelley (Sue Kren) Neal, Kasandra (Robert) Funk and by her grandsons, Kenneth and Kristopher, her brother, Serge and by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

So sorry for your loss. The picture of her and the raccoon brings back many fond memories of her and Kelley careing for the critters. Those were the good old days.

So very sorry????????will be there in spirit today. I’m blessed to have had this amazing woman cross paths with mine, her guidance for me as a mom “priceless”. The role she played in my life and my 4 children, there are no words to express this valve... we have been blessed with her in our lives. We will miss her. You are all in my thoughts and prayers...❤️❤️❤️

Dear Uncle K, Kelley and Kasandra Neal, I'm Sorry about the lost of Aunt Linda ???? She was very strong and Loving woman. I will always remember how nice she was and her smile . I'm sorry I can't make it up for the services. I'm still in the Palos Hospital getting stronger medicine and trying to get this crap out of my sinuses and lungs. Not sure when I'll be able to get to go home God bless you all on this sorrowful day and may you be thankful for all the love and great time we all received from her. Kelley, so sorry to hear about the passing of your mom. Just know that she is not suffering and is at peace. She raised someone like you to pass on her legacy, so her time on earth was definitely well spent! Hold on to your great memories of her and she will always be with you. You will meet again!! It was like yesterday when I was with Kelley visiting Kasandra’s, Linda showed me photos and told me the stories of the photos. She was very nice to me. She will be missed.
