Timothy M. Mieling, 69 of Huntley died, November 15, 2012 at Alexian Brothers Hospital.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30am on Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic Church-10703 Dundee Road, Huntley. A visitation will be on Monday from 3:00 to 8:00pm and on Tuesday from 9:30am until 10:30am at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Rd. Huntley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Fire Chaplains Ministry c/o Fr. Thomas Mulcrone- 1140 W. Jackson Chicago, Illinois 60607.
Timothy was born May 19, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Gregory W. and Veronica (Sullivan) Mieling. He served in the United States Navy. On September 28, 1968 he married Kathleen A. Heron. Tim served as a Chicago Fireman for 37 years retiring in 2005. He was a member of the Local # 2 Fire Fighters Union and of the North side Fire Brigade.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy, his daughter Kate (John) Mayer and his son, Tim Mieling ( Lisa Rago). He is survived by his brother, Gregory T. (Sandra) Mieling and by his sister-in-law, Sue (Alan) Busch and by many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.

Tim and I started on the same day, Feb. 16, 1960, in Skokie. I am unable to make the wake or funeral, but wanted to send my sincere condolences to the family.
