Janice Anne Simmons, 76, of Huntley, died on Thursday, May 21, 2020.
Janice was born on January 25, 1944 in Spencer, Iowa, to parents Orlo and Charlotte (nee Hicks) Franker.
Janice was a loving mother to her two sons, Jay and William. She loved to play games with them, and they share many fond memories of playing cards, cribbage, and Risk. She was a wonderful cook, who loved to read and listen to country music.
Janice is survived by her sons, Jay (Dawn) Simmons, and William (Shannon) Simmons, her grandchildren, Cynthia (Erik) Heimburger, Zachary Simmons, Logan Anne Simmons, and Abigail Clardy, her great-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Alden, and Desmond, her brother, James (Joan) Franker, and her brother-in-law, Glen Arnold.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Orlo and Charlotte Franker, and her sister, Karen Arnold.

Jan was such a good friend. I will miss her and am grateful I was able to talk with her a few days before her passing. I know she was looking forward to going back to Seattle and seeing her family there. My prayers to you all. Memories live on forever in our hearts. Peace!
