Jose L. Espina, Jr. 56 of Huntley died December 30, 2012.
A funeral Mass will be held 10:30am Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church-Huntley. Visitation will be on Friday from 3:00 to 9:00pm at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
Jose L. Espina, Jr. was born March 8, 1956 in the Philippines the son of Jose E. and Lolita (Loquellano) Espina. On December 10, 1983 he married Flordeliza Reyes. He was the number one Bull’s Fan, he was a member of St. Mary Church and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Flor, by his mother, Lolita and by his brothers and sisters: Resureccion, Ranulfo, Leonila, Dina, Mansueto, Rosalina, Marietta, Carmencita, Antonio, and Maria Cecilia, and also by many nieces, nephews, cousins, sister and brother-in-laws.
He is preceded in death by his father and one sister, Casimere.

I was so sorry to hear about Jose. A the shop we knew him a Joni. Joni was a great person. I got to know him many years ago and realized what a fine man he was. He was a great person to work with. You could not ask for a more dedicated hard worker than Joni. He was always ready to do any job that needed to be done. He has been missed and will always be in our thoughts. Charlie Cretors
I couldnt find any words, we are all mourning in your passing. To Flor and Tia Loleng and to all my cousins here in the states and in the Philippine my condolences. Joni is really a great brother to us. Very responsible and will never let us worry for whatever personal concern he may have at anytime. Well truly miss him so much. He is the standup commedian of our family. Cant forget the time in our younger years, our family gathered together after lunch and he started cracking jokes without smiling but really made us laugh out loud begging him to stop. We love you so much. God loves you and am sure He has prepared a great place for you in heaven. Shalom, dear brother.

Though he has health problem he still offers to help us, but as always we decline. Likewise, he specifically instructed not to inform other relatives about his situation because he doesn’t want them to worry for him. He is that kind of person who still thinks what other people will feel instead of his own. People may not know him very well but he is the best Uncle I have and indeed he is a big loss for all of us. We love you very much Uncle. We know that you’re happy with our Creator. To Aunt Flor, we love you the same way we love Uncle. We will miss his jokes and all the good memories.
