My deepest condolences on the your loss. Mammy (to our friend group) was one of the most genuine hearts I (we) have ever encountered. Carried herself with grace and elegance, She was everything you loved about your own mother and more. Always concerned for our well being and never afraid to ask the parental five questions (Who? What? Where? When? And Why?) no matter how old we were. Personally, she was so good to me as I experienced a difficult time in my life, constantly reminding me that the door to her home was always open.

My sincere sympathy to the Berggren and Percival families. I fondly recall my first meeting with Miss Luella where she greeted me like we had known each other for years. She was such a personable and caring person. May she Rest In Peace in the arms of the Lord and may the family find comfort in the days ahead.

Luella and I started at the Palatine Police Department near the same time in 1988. Luella proved herself to be a devoted and dedicated Record's Clerk. She was in charge of the parking ticket system and took great pride in her position. She was exceptional in her attention to detail, which was important in her position and could always be counted on to run various management reports with precision. She got along with everyone very well. Whether it was joking with the various officers or dealing with a difficult citizen, Luella was the consummate professional. Her great sense of humor and strong work ethic also endeared her to those she worked with and for. God bless you Luella. I can still remember you were one of the only people who referred to me as 'Bradley' and it reminded me of my dear mother so thank you for so many fond memories working together. God bless you Duane as I remember the two of you always seemed happiest when you were together and modeled a loving marriage. Beth and I will also be praying for the children and grandchildren who I'm sure will miss their dear grandmother. Lovingly, Bradley

Luella was always so supportive of our daughter's interests - Luella and Duane even participated in our daughter's graduation parade this past May. It's those little things that resonate the kind of woman Luella was. May she rest in peace, may Duane find comfort in the days ahead, and may fond memories surround the Berggren and Percival families. With deep sympathy ~ Rick and Kelly
