Reynaldo Beltran Calacsan, 81, died peacefully on Monday, August 10, 2020.
Reynaldo was born in the Philippines on August 6, 1939, to parents Primitivo and Mercedes (nee Beltran) Calacsan. He married Lina Calacsan on August 18, 1961, and they spent many happy years together before her death on October 12, 2017. His children remember him as a hard worker who loved to keep busy as a handyman. He was blessed with a green thumb, and was passionate about caring for plants and nurturing his garden. Reynaldo was young spirited, and loved to help those around him.
Reynaldo is survived by his children, Gemma (Antonio) Ganzon, Giomer (Aileen Dejelo) Calacsan, and Meg (Chris) Calara, his grandchildren, Geanne, Jayson, Briana, Gedeon, Berniz, and Jarel, and his siblings, Felicidad Calacsan, Teotima (Manuel) Quitlong, Teodora Moya, Regina (Ike) Trasga, Luz (Alex) Peralta, Daniel (Ludy) Calacsan, Julita Bautista, Emma (Lito) Capuno, Felipe (Consuelo) Calacsan, Mercedes Guillet, and Leticia (Joey) Ganzon.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lina Calacsan, and his siblings, Juanita Ramos, and Roberta Calacsan.
Visitation will be on Thursday, August 13, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. Funeral will be on Friday, August 14, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at DeFiore Funeral Home.

Although extremely saddened of your unexpected passing our dear brother, I am rest assured that your are now with our CREATOR ! No more pains, no more sufferings. I can dwell in the past and reminisce bad and good memories . But what’s important is you are now at peace. You will be missed. You’re gone but will forever be in hearts to be love and remembered .
