William John Heiden, 80, of Novato, California, formerly of Midlothian, Illinois, died on Sunday, August 30, 2020.
William was born on April 4, 1940 to parents Albert and Marie (nee Cannon) Heiden.
He married Judy Schreier in 1961 and they shared many happy years together. William was a dedicated and hardworking man. He was a proud member of the Heat & Frost Insulators Local Union 17 for more than 30 years, as well as an acting member of the Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society, and the Boy Scouts of America. He also served as a coach for Little League. He was very active and loved to be outdoors fishing.
William is survived by his children, William D. (Barbara) Heiden, and Donna Heiden, his grandchildren, Matthew and Katelyn, his siblings, Albert (Rose) Heiden, and Maryanne Hohman, and many nieces and nephews,
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Judy Heiden, his granddaughter, Kristin, his sister, Betsy Heiden, and his brother-in-law, Frank Hohman.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at DeFiore Funeral Home 10760 Dundee Road, Huntley
Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 10a.m. at St. Mary Church 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley.
