A dear sorority sister from our college days at Western Kentucky. Many fond memories of Brenda in both Bowling Green and Louisville can be recalled. Our deepest sympathy to your family in your loss. You will remain in our thoughts and prayers. Joe Judy Clifton
Brenda was a breath of fresh air at Tabb Elementary She could do wonders with teaching children to read and write. My fond memories include her teaching my students and me weekly how to write in cursive. The next year she came in and taught a different group and myself how to be successful writers. She was not a horder and helped others not to be. When I moved rooms she helped by telling me not to watch and she threw away all my purple masters If you are over 50 and taught, you know what these were. Brenda was fun She loved Chris and enjoyed sharing stories about him while she was at Tabb. I hope the family will find peace with the knowledge that Brenda touched a lot of lives. I am thankful for having known her. My prayers are with you
I pledged with Brenda and she was my best friend in college. I am so sorry we did not connect in our later years. I hope her family will be comforted in knowing we are still remembering her. Love to you all, Joanne
I am so sorry for your loss. I am Ashley's teacher and she loves her Mei Mei and talks about her all the time. You are in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless you during this difficult time.
I am one of those lives that Mrs. Tomlinson touched! I had her for the fourth grade, way before she went into teaching Title 1. I remember well a surprise party our class threw for her and how overwhelmed she was that we would something like that for her. She was always with a smile and I can still see her just as she was then, even though I had seen her many times over the years. She talked about Christopher often, as I never heard her refer to him as "Chris". I know she was so proud of her grandchildren and told me about them whenever I would run into her. Tabb Elementary was a better place because of her. And my life was made better by having her as both a teacher and a friend. I wish the family well and know that she will always be a part of all of us.
I know Brenda from Christ United Methodist Church. I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
