Michael Robert Barnes, Sr., 77, of Marengo, died in his home on September 11, 2020.
Michael was born in Chicago on December 14, 1942 to parents Robert and Frances (nee Odea) Barnes. Michael loved to tinker with electronics, and could fix just about anything with duct tape. He had many hobbies, including obtaining his radio license. He loved to go dancing with his best friend, and nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his family.
Michael is survived by his children, Denise Hernet, and Michael (Linda) Barnes, Jr., his grandchildren, Crystal, Savannah, Alisha, Sean, and Matthew, his great-grandchildren, Madalynn, Hunter, and Faith, his sister, Gale McKinley, his brother in law, Robert Radunzel, and his nieces and nephews, Sandy, Karen, Darlene, Bobby, Kurt, and Rodney.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Radunzel, and his brother in law, Orville McKinley.
Cremation was private at DeFiore Funeral Home.
