Judie A. Buttermore, 77, of Huntley, died peacefully in her home on October 7, 2020, surrounded by family.
Judie was born on May 14, 1943 in Chicago to parents Roger and Angela (nee Ruffulo) Cozzi. On February 10, 1962, Judie married Edward Buttermore and together they raised three children. Judie was the ultimate confidante. She welcomed everyone into her home and was known for giving the best advice. She was caring, strong, and the rock of her family. She was a great listener and an avid poker player. She loved to play cards with her friends and was very lucky at slots.
Judie is survived by her dear husband of 58 years, Edward Buttermore, her three children, Rena Nuccio, Dawn (Michael) Stavropoulos, and Edward (Renie) Buttermore, her six grandchildren, Zachary, Michael James, Alexa, Megan, Jordyn, and Emily, her siblings, Rita Cozzi, and Butch (MaryJo) Cozzi, and her dear friend, Auntie Mar.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley followed by a 10 a.m. Memorial Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley.

I am so sorry for the FAMILY'S loss of Judy,i had known her from our neighborhood and watched the house being built where she grew up.
