Eric L. Luna, 51 of Pingree Grove, died peacefully, October 10, 2020 at his home with his family and close friends by his side.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 4-8pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral service will be held 11:00am on Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church 310 W. Main Street in East Dundee. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Lou and Jean Malnati Brain Institute.

Eric was born January 16, 1969 in Park Ridge, Illinois the son of Luis and Carol Luna. On September 6, 1997 he married Susan Gehman. He worked for CDW as a sales engineer. Eric was always the life of the party. He loved entertaining and could make a great old fashioned. He had a passion for living life, he enjoyed fast cars, wave runners and was the fantasy football king. He could fix anything at all with duct tape and was known to have up to 20 rolls on hand at anyone time. Eric will be remembered for his love of life, his constant determination and for having the ability to make anyone laugh. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Susan, his sons, Austin and Gavin Luna, his father, Luis Luna, his brother, Louis (Tania) Luna, and sisters, Vanessa Luna, and Nicole Luna. He is also survived by his Aunt Maria Kozar, Uncles, Viktor, Majaren and Branko. Many nieces, nephews, and cousins which he adored.
Eric was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Luna.

My condolences during this doubly difficult grievance period. I was consoled by being surprised with hope; the extent of the size of his family and his extended family that survive him. The Second Letter to the Corinthians is very relevant under these circumstances My prayers.
Although we did not see him very often, we loved him like one of our own. Eric was the best.
My fun loving, life of every party we were at together (My favorite of course was Stephs wedding) brother-in-law, you have no idea how much we love you and how much you will be missed. We have many memories together with family I will never forget. I will miss seeing your face and hearing you say when we come visit “hey Jen and..... Hannah Banana” thank you for being my daughters Godfather, thank you for all the memories, thank you for marrying my sister, and I hope you live it up with Dan, Bill, Marie, and our mother. Dear Susie, there are no words of comfort we could offer to take away the pain you, Gavin and Austin are feeling. We won't share the usual platitudes said when someone we love dies. We can only tell you we enjoyed times spent with you, Eric and the boys. There weren't enough of them but you always make us feel like family. We are here if you need us for anything.
