I have known John since we were about six years old. We grew up together in Mayfair in Chicago, IL. Went to St. Edward grammar school together, went to H.S. together DePaul Academy, and have been friends with him and Linda a very long time. Linda from HS Days when she was our Cheerleader in HS. They were HS sweethearts. Not only did I know John that well, but in grammar school at St. Edward we played football together and I was the center on the team and he was the Quarter Back. He was also the Quater Back in H.S. at DePaul Academy. Just one very great person. To Linda and his families we are so very sorry for all of your Loss. God Bless All of you.

John and Linda were our next door neighbors for many years in Hoffman Estates. We remember John as very down to earth and kind. We also recall his great sense of humor. It was obvious to us just how much he loved his family. To Linda, Michelle, Jennifer, Jeff and all of the extended family, know that John is fondly remembered as we recall shared memories. We send our love to each of you.

My heartfelt sympathies to all of you. I'm remembering all the good times we had over the years. We met through Palatine Soccer in the 70's and our friendship continued from there. John and Harry enjoyed their ski trips out West with family and friends. We also shared John's love of music and went to the Jazz and Blues Fest together. We enjoyed many good times with food and drink including some very special Christmas Eves. From Hoffman Estates to Apple Canyon to Del Webb Huntley---thanks for the memories. You are all in my prayers.

Remember: “Those we love don’t go away, They walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear.” Call me if I can help.

This news hits me hard and my condolences to the entire family. I will remember all the good times we had over the years with your family. Palatine Celtic soccer brought our families together and so many great memories of traveling across the Midwest together. John and my dad enjoyed their ski trips to the mountains and were ski buddies. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

John - I’m going to miss you my dear friend. Although time and distance separated us, the spirit of our friendship always remained and will live on. We’ll miss you at our regular Academy luncheons. But there never be anyone to take your place. You’ve returned home, my friend. Watch over us and guide us along the wonderful way in which you so beautifully lived. Rich

Dear friends since we became next door neighbors in Palatine in 1972. John and Linda became our first American friends. We spent many an hour sitting at a card table parked in the driveway between the homes while John and Linda taught us to play pinochle. Won't say we became addicted but by mid-November we were still outside playing by the patio light in winter coats. Many other adventures together, especially when John and Roger worked on home improvement projects together .... too bad YouTube wasn't around back then as they would have been able to make some classic contributions. For several years our kids grew up with the Mandala children until we moved away in1980. The Mandala family has been missed since then, and now more so, John. May he rest in Peace in God's hands, we will pray for him.

I'm shocked and very saddened to hear of John's passing. John was my husband's boss. They worked together many years. I've known John and Linda over forty years. We became good friends and enjoyed going out to dinner and back to our house for dessert and cards. John was a great friend and will be missed, but not forgotten. My sincere condolences to Linda and family. My heart aches for your loss. Praying for all of you to get through the difficult days ahead. Hugs.

Linda, Michelle, Jennifer and Jeff, Marv and I are so very sorry for all your loss. We will miss our longtime close friend. There are so many times and memories we shared: both water and snow skiing, the great times in Apple Canyon Lake, and those long chats and happy times will never be forgotten. We send our love.

I am saddened by the passing of Uncle John, yet en-heartened by the cherished memories he leaves behind. When I was little I remember how he enjoyed playing his jazz guitar, how he encouraged me to play the drums and put together my first drum set. Growing up, I always looked up to Uncle John with great admiration and respect. My deepest sympathies and prayers to Aunt Linda, my cousins and families. "God Bless You "

I grew up w/ John at St. Eds. He was always friendly, positive. While a good athlete, he never let it go to his head. Ad mulos annum. May the Angels lead him into Paradise.
