Obituary

Joseph J. Mahon, 92, of Huntley, died peacefully, November 8, 2020 with his family by his side.
Visitation will be on Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 8:30am -9:30am at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. Entombment will be on Saturday at 12:00 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He was born February 15, 1928 in Waterbury, Connecticut, the son of Joseph and Mae Mahon. He was united in marriage to Margaret Mary Eldredge for 68 years. Joe was a veteran, an engineer with more than 30 patents to his name. A father of 6, grandfather of 12 and and great grandfather of 6. He enjoyed travel, photography and genealogy.
Joe is survived by his children, Bridget Pat (Dr. James) Soukup, William (Kathy) Mahon, Mary Anne Mahon, David Mahon and Michael (Monique) Mahon, his twelve grandchildren, Tammie, Sondra, Claire, Erin, Ian, Rose, Katie, Peter, Nick, Alex, Emily and Kevin and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, his son Joseph and two sisters, Dorothy Fimble and Francis Dinto.

What I wouln't give to be back in that kitchen on 17th St. listening to Uncle Joe explaing how a camera worked or something he had worked on. So much life in that room, can we all be older now than they were then? Also had the chance to go thrugh old "Eldredge" pictures with one day with Uncle Joe and Aunt Margaret, a wonderful day. I'm sorry for your loss , Uncle Joe was always a kind man.
