Obituary

Virginia Edith Imlah, 90, of Sun City in Huntley, Illinois and Tip O’ Texas in Pharr, Texas, died on December 7, 2020.
Virginia was born on July 28, 1930 in Oak Park to parents Newton and Edith (nee Trinkaus) Sanborn. Virginia married John Imlah on January 21, 1950 and they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this year.
Virginia was completely devoted to her family and loved to spend time with them. She traveled with John and together they visited all 50 states as well as 8 countries. She was passionate about drumming and played in many bands and orchestras, including Austin High School Band, Chicago Boys Club Band, Tip O’ Texas Band, and McAllen Texas Band. She was a true artist, and spent much of her time quilting, painting and working with ceramics. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Virginia is survived by her beloved husband, John Imlah, her children, John (Rita) Imlah, William Imlah, Pastor Peter (Nikki) Imlah, and Victoria (Joe) Passi, her grandchildren, John (Dana), Jill (Kevin), Aubrey (Charlie), Angie, Abby, Beth, and Josh, her great-grandchildren, Callie, Hayden, Matthew, Samantha, Jimmy, Madison, Kendra, Addison, John, and Jacob, and her sister, Barbara (Bob) Hellem.
She was preceded in death by her grandsons, Scott, Jeff, and Micaiah.
Cremation will be private at DeFiore Funeral Home with a memorial service being planned for a later date.

John so sorry for your loss. I remembered when you volunteered at sweet repeats and she would come and shop.
