Joanne M. Troost, 84 of Des Plaines, died peacefully, surrounded by her family at bedside, December 6, 2020.
Joanne was born July 26, 1936 in Chicago, the daughter of Edward and Eleanor Dooley. In the 1970’s she was very active in the River Grove Woman of the Moose, rising to the ranks of Senior Regent. She was very proud of all of the work they did. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing puzzles. Joanne always looked forward to her annual trip to Door County with her daughter and sister. Her greatest joy was her devotion to her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Bryon (Roxanne) Troost, her daughter, Deidre (Phil) Lorenzin and by her sister, Shannon (Ralph) Tencza . She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren, Michael (Jillian), Stephanie (Matt), Christina (William), Stephen (Victoria) and David (Dominica) and by her great grandson, Colin.
Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, and twin sisters, who died at birth.
Funeral services are private to immediate family only. A memorial service will be held at inurnment in July of 2021.

Joann was a great lady. Friendly, happy, proud of her family. We'll miss her.
