Norbert B. Kalas, 78 of Crystal Lake, died December 30, 2020
Visitation will be on Monday, January 11, 2021 from 4-8pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 10:00am at St. Edna Catholic Church in Arlington Heights. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Arlington Heights. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
Norbert was born December 1, 1942 the son of Norbert and Florence Kalas. On June 22, 1963 he married Barbara A. Lipke. He worked for the Village of Glenview until his retirement. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed watching sports and westerns and had a love for oldies music. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, his children, Michael (Gayle) Kalas, Philip Kalas and James Kalas, by his five grandchildren, Andy, Nathan, Kyle, Keith and Zak and he is also survived by his brother, Gary (Jeannie) Kalas and by many nieces and nephews.
Norbert was preceded in death by his parents, and by his daughter-in-law, Susan Kalas.
