Tricia Susan (Andrlik) DiVirgilio, 43, our beautiful courageous fighter, unlaced her pink boxing gloves on Saturday, January 26, 2013 after five years of battling breast cancer.
Born on September 25, 1969, she is survived by her daughter Kaitlyn, who shines with her mom’s spirit; her parents, Bob & Sharon Andrlik; grandmothers, Sue & Sylvia; brothers Tim (and his wife Dawn) and Todd (and his wife Hillary); sister Terry; and nieces & nephews Jennifer, Payton, Scott, Rory and Lincoln, all of which she adored. Tricia will be remembered by all who knew her for her exceptional strength, compassion, quirky sense of humor and “never give up” attitude. She died peacefully surrounded by her family. Her spirit never gave up, her body simply got tired.
A memorial gathering will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 2nd at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Memorial Mass will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. A private family interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Tricia’s name may be made to the Bob & Edna Meadows Cancer Care Center at Presence St. Joseph Hospital and can be made to: Presence St. Joseph Hospital, 77 N. Airlite Street, Elgin, Illinois 60123.

Dear Kaitlyn and the Andrlik family, I am at a loss for adequate words to express my sadness for you. I had the blessed opportunity of knowing your mom and working with her at API. I know heaven just received one of the most special angels. You are a reflection of your mom in the way your treat people with respect and empathy. Not to mention the way you make each person feel loved. I am so sorry for your loss. Janet Hickey

Sharon & Bob, We are deeply saddened for your loss. Recently while Damon and his family were visiting us, we watched old home movies and had wonderful memories seeing Tricia and the other children playing together. She's a special soul and we are grateful to have been friends and neighbors of you and your family. Love, The Booths
