Annette B. Martin, 80 of Huntley, died peacefully on January 23, 2021.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 29, 2021 from 4-7pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Noon on Saturday, January 30, at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be in Huntley Cemetery. Annette was born December 31, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Carl and Mary Trombatore. Early she worked as a school secretary. She was proud of her Italian-Sicilian heritage. In 1999 she moved from Schaumburg to Sun City, a community she loved and was very active in. She enjoyed traveling, casinos, playing pickle ball and was an avid Mahjong player. She was a loving mother, grandmother, Gigi and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her sons, Ken Martin, Keith (Diane) Martin and Richard Martin. By her grandchildren, Joshua, Eric, Jessica, Valerie, Zachary, Connor, Andrew, and Cassandra and by her great grandchildren, Bryson, Natalee, and Noah. She is also survived by her special friend, Axel Foertsch. Annette was preceded in death by her parents.

Annette and I were friends for over 20 years. We shared line dancing, mahjongg and travel passions. She will be remembered for her energy, her wit and her love of her family. I will truly miss her and I send thoughts and prayers to the family on their loss.
Annette was my cousin and someone I looked up to when I was a child. I chose her to b e my Confirmation sponsor when I was eleven and she was fifteen. I was saddened when we lost touch as adults.
