Mary Ann Benz, 82 of Huntley, died peacefully, January 30, 2021.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 9:00-10:30am with a service held at 10:30am all at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Orland Park, Illinois. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Home Sweet Home Pet Rescue, Inc.

Mary Ann was born July 24, 1938 in Hammond, Indiana the daughter of Anthony and Margaret Baginski. On October 6, 1962 she married Carl Benz. She and her husband both worked as pharmacist until their retirement. Mary and Carl traveled the world together. She was very social and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also was an avid reader and enjoyed shopping. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandma and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Carl Benz, her sons, Paul (Mary) Benz, and Eric Benz, by her grandchildren, Emily and Tim, niece Deb Laibly and great nieces and nephews, Luke, Cassie, Danielle and Jade.
Mary was proceeded in death by her parents and sister, Carolyn.

so sorry to hear of mary ann passing away. we enjoyed many good times together when we where young playing and living above the drug store in Hegewich. I will truly miss and think of her often. Betty from Sun City west Arizona.
I still have fond memories growing up over the drug store with Mary Ann and her family. She was one special person and she will be truly miss Carol, Frankfort, Illinois
