John P. Pleban, 83 of Huntley, died peacefully, January 31, 2021
Visitation will be on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 4-7pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, 10:00am at St. Mary Church -10307 Dundee Road, Huntley and burial will be in Huntley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Mary/ St. Vincent DePaul Society.
John was born April 6, 1937 the son of John and Roselia Pleban. In 1963 he married Mary K. Guthrie. John worked for Nabisco until his retirement. He was a man of great faith, he was always involved in his Church, no matter where he and Mary lived. Most recently he was active at St. Mary Church both in the choir and with St. Vincent DePaul Society. John was a loving husband, father, JaJa and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, his daughters, Michele (Mike) Colen, and Julie (Matt) Clarke, by his four granddaughters, Megan, Jessica, Ashley, and Courtney and his great grandchildren, Joachim, Gianna, Edith, Catherine and Gwendolyn. He is also survived by his brothers, Rev. Alexander and Rev. Leo. He was preceded in death by his parents.

I am so very sorry for your loss. John was in our St. Mary Choir for many years and had a wonderful voice. He always made us laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
