John Michael Spahn, 74, of Hampshire, died on February 23, 2021.
John was born in Chicago on February 11, 1947 to parents John and Mabel (nee Morey) Spahn. He married Kathleen McCarthy on March 15, 1969 and they were happily married until her death on June 6, 2018. John loved sports and could often be found, playing, watching, and attending different games. He was a friend to everyone and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He was a hard worker and incredibly outgoing. He will be missed by all who knew him.
John is survived by his children, Brian (Dawn Sykes) Spahn, Allison (Adam) Streeter, and Caroline (Chad Rico) Merritt, his grandchildren, Seth, Christian, Evelyn, Ian, Graham, and Asher, his sister, Barbara (Joe) Bowman, and his cat, Clarice.
Services for John will be private.
