Maureen E. Gockman, 65, of Huntley, died on March 8, 2021.
Maureen was born in Chicago on July 29, 1955 to parents Dave and Dorothy (nee Casey) Brosnan. While working as a secretary, Maureen caught the eye of Edward C. Gockman and the two married on September 10, 1989. Maureen and Edward loved to spend time together and enjoyed going out to dinner. She was a devoted mother to Edward D Gockman and would do anything for him. She was kind-hearted and sweet, with a beautiful personality. She loved to garden and travel. She was immensely proud of her Irish heritage and loved to visit her family’s home in Castleisland, Ireland. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Maureen is survived by her beloved husband of 32 years, Edward C. Gockman, her son, Edward D. Gockman, her large, loving family in Ireland and Minnesota, and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dave and Dorothy Brosnan, and her beloved dog, Lucy.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 18, 2021, from 10 a.m. to time of service 11 a.m. at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.

Inurnment will be private at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
