Doris E. Sasis, 74, of Huntley, died peacefully, April 9, 2021 with her family by her side.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 9:00am until 10:00am at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be at Huntley Cemetery.
Doris was born as “Anita” on October 1, 1946 the daughter of Emilio and Aurora Emano. On February 22, 1971 she married Gustavo T. Sasis Sr. She was a hard working nurse for 41 years and not only cared for her patients but cared for everyone all the time. She had a special devotion to all of the religious orders of the Holy Catholic Church and made sure they were taken care of. She was a woman of great faith and had a big heart, especially for her family in the Philippines. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
Doris is survived by her husband, Gustavo, Sr., her children, Gustavo (Kelly) Sasis, Jr., Ryan (Leah) Sasis, Maynard Sasis and Ephraim Sasis, and survived by her 14 grandchildren.
