George Arthur Wyatt, age 95, of East Dundee, Illinois, passed away in his home surrounded by his family’s love, on May 14, 2021.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 8:30am at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley followed directly by a Funeral Mass at 10:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Masks will be required at the funeral home and Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Mercy Home for Boys and Girls www.mercyhome.org or St. Jude Children Research Hospital www.stjude.org.
George was a prominent Chicago businessman who obtained his degree from IIT and contributed his time and knowledge to many organizations in his field of mechanical engineering. He was married to the love of his life, Rita Wyatt for almost 72 years and was the beloved patriarch of a loving, extended family. George enjoyed time with his family and hobbies such as boating, scuba diving, traveling, reading novels and western movies.
He is survived by his wife, Rita, his children, Michael and wife Robin, Mary, Lynn, Daniel and wife Fonda, and Colleen, his 11 grandchildren, his 15 great grandchildren and his brothers, James, Robert and wife Marie and Donald and wife Mary, along with his sister-in-law Nancy.
George was preceded in death by his beloved second son, Richard, daughter in law Susan, brother Timothy, sister-in-law Martha Ann and parents Dorothy and Harold.
